Q. Are your remotes new or used? 
A. All of our remotes are BRAND NEW. About 10 years ago we used to sell refurbished remotes, but about 1 out of 5 were returned within one month. We learned our lesson. We only sell brand new remotes.
 
Q. I can’t find my remote on your list, what should I do? 
A. A common mistake many people make is they forget to click on what type of unit their remote is for. EXAMPLE: After you have selected your brand, (JVC, Toshiba, Sony etc.) you must Select the type of unit you need a remote control for : TV, TV/VCR COMBO, DVD, VCR etc.   If this does not help, please Call our toll free number; 1-800-294-3889, and one of our qualified phone technicians will be able to assist you.
 
Q. My model number is very close to the number on your site, but not exact, is this important? 
A. Sometimes yes and sometimes no. In some cases this is very important and the remotes are not interchangeable. In other instances it is totally irrelevant and either remote may be used. To be safe, please call our toll free number 1-800-294-3889 and have one of our qualified phone technicians assist you.
  
Q. Will a universal remote work for me? 
A. If you have any kind of COMBO unit (TV/VCR, TV/DVD, DVD/VCR)  a UNIVERSAL REMOTE WILL NOT WORK. If you have a TV only, it depends. If all you want to do is turn on and off your unit, and maybe adjust the volume or change the channels, then a universal remote might work for you. However, if you need your remote to do anything more than the very, very basics, a universal remote will not help you. Features like PIP, MENU, PICTURE SIZE, INPUTS, SELECT, AND AUDIO, can ONLY be CONTROLLED by the ORIGINAL REMOTE CONTROL or the manufacturers RECOMMENDED SUBSTITUTE.
  
Q. How long will it take you to ship my remote? 
A. We are the largest distributor of remote controls in the country. We have over 300,000 brand new remotes in stock. Most of our orders are Shipped the Same Day you order it via the United States Postal Service. Normal delivery time is usually 2-3 business days, however allow at least one week.
  
Q. Do you ship to Canada? 
A. Yes, we ship to Canada every day.  However, delivery may take up to an additional business week for the package to arrive.

Q. I only wanted to order 1 remote but somehow I have 2 or 3 in my checkout basket. How do I correct this?  
A. At any point during your checkout, you can go to the "view basket" button on the top of the page to change the quantity to the correct amount and then click on UPDATE.
  
Q. What if I receive the wrong remote or it does not work?
A. We have a no questions asked, full money back, 30-day warranty. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, you may return it for 30 days for a full refund.
 
Q. How do I place an order? 
A. There are three ways.  
1) You can call our toll free number 1-800-294-3889, and have a courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly account representative assist you. They will answer any of your questions and also take your order in a professional manor.

2) You can order directly off our website order page by following the simple steps below: 
A) If you don’t know your remote control part number go to our home page and click on the brand name of your unit: Sony, JVC, Toshiba etc. 
B) Select the type of unit you need a remote control for: TV, DVD, VCR etc. 
C) After locating your MODEL number look across and click on THE REMOTE CONTROL MODEL NUMBER. This will bring you to the order page. 
D) Click one time--- Add To Basket for each remote control you require. (Review the top line QUANTITY IN BASKET….if it reads none , click add to basket one time for each remote you require. If you make a mistake, click on VIEW BASKET to make any changes.) 
E) Now click on CHECKOUT to use our 100% secure check out page. 
F) Complete Bill to and Ship to info. 
G) Click continue. This point you will be given the option to order our famous Four Year Extended Warranty, available on select models only. 
H) Choose payment and shipping option if available. 
I) Go to next page to add credit card information. Click CONTINUE to place your order. At this point you will see an invoice you can print for your records. Shortly, you will receive an Email conformation.

Q. Where can I get the codes for my remote control? 
A. We do not have any codes. There is a website, WWW.REMOTECENTRAL.COM that has most of the codes you need. You can also try WWW.INSTRUCTIONSHEETS.COM or WWW.SERVICEMANUALS.NET
